Volfen blessing instead of Ursan?
So I'll make it short.
I was wandering if there would be any ways to use Volfen Blessin instead of ursan blessing in the "URSANway" team? feel free to comment and discuss like mature people. And please don't make this thread a flame-fest we already enough of those Sorry for my typos |

Well, Volven blessing provides some interesting things, but not enough: Easy DW to speed up kiling even more (pointless) , IAS (which is pointless as ursans dont autoattack but instead mash 1). Plus, less armor and less max hp means that wolf is gonna be primary target, meaning dirt naps, meaning "omg, volven noob, gtfo!"
Volven itself is better as part of ... ugh ... ballanced team. But even then, normal warrior is better choice. Volven with just other volvens is very bad ... it does not synergize together and has no shutdown. |

but I was thinking to use volfen with para secondary and the refrains such as bladeturn refrain, burning refrain and mending refrain to get the extra bonuses to met the same power as ursan

The reason all-ursan teams are so uber in the hardest areas is the damage mitigation you get from the constant AoE knockdowns. Basically Ursan synergizes with itself: the more people use ursan, the more time the enemy will spend on their collective asses, and the less damage the team will take.
Volfen doesn't provide any damage mitigation, and while five volfen will kill one enemy in short order, all the others do full damage - and that is a problem in places like Domain of Anguish. |

Raven is good. I like the AoE blind. However, two ravens doesn't mean that the Arm of Insanity gets any more blinded than by one, or that the Rain of Insanty is stopped from firebombing the team.
EDIT: There's nothing wrong with Raven or Volfen, they're good. The problem is that Ursans AoE knockdown is so incredibly godly. Ursan could easily be balanced by changing the AoE knockdown to a a single-target knockdown (basically a headbutt) instead. Last edited by Numa Pompilius; Feb 17, 2008 at 07:23 PM // 19:23.. |
